Software update
CDL Console
News Story Image The latest enhancement to CDL’s self-service portal has seen us launch a new app console, enabling front-end web updates to the portal, cutting down the time it takes to action changes.

CDL Console effectively provides a web-based content management system with an intuitive user interface that makes it straightforward for customers to deploy changes within Portal V2 and make updates to their website, without the need to involve software engineers.

CTO Robert Trueman says: "This represents a significant step forward in empowering clients to take content management into their hands, enabling them to be more agile and proactive when it comes to making changes."

Quality benefits Remote configuration is backed by AWS Services and comes with a host of additional quality benefits, such as validation functionality, which means that configuration errors can be automatically checked before being launched, and the system will only roll out changes if correct. It also enables users to experiment with AB testing and preview changes prior to posting them live.

Low-code/no-code A future aspiration is that all CDL software will be able to be configured via CDL Console, including other applications.

"Portal V2 is just the first product that will be going into it," says Rob. "The goal is for CDL Console to be used for more applications, such as Justice and APIs, allowing clients to manage their own integrations, in line with drives towards ever-increasing automation and providing solutions under a SaaS model with low-code/no-code requirements."
